NancyÕs Nonsense

A minister had just finished an excellent fried chicken  dinner at the home of a congregation member when he saw a   rooster come strutting through the yard.

"That's certainly a proud-looking rooster," the minister commented.

"Yes, sir," replied the farmer. "He has reason to be proud  -- one of his sons just entered the ministry."

Sam and Ruth from Maine had just bought a new car when winter   hit with all its fury. "I wonder if the car has seat warmers,"

Ruth wondered.

"It sure does," said Sam, looking through the owner's manual.   "Here it is...rear defrosters."

The bride was anything but a tidy housekeeper. It didn't   bother her much until one evening when her husband called   from the hall, somewhat dismayed: "Honey, what happened to   the dust on this table? I had a phone number written on it."

Growing up as a kid, I learned all about capitalism through   the board game Monopoly. I mean, what better way to teach a young mind the way our economy functions. I loved this game   and still do. Only now, as an adult I have some questions   that remain unanswered.

For instance, if I have all this money and own all this real   estate...why am I still driving around in a thimble?
