In Memoriam

 


         It is with sadness we report the recent passing of some of our CNYPSG members.

            Helen T. Houck of New Hartford passed away on October 22, 2004. She had attended our support group meetings along with some of the other residents of the Presbyterian Residential Community. Helen was a driving force in gathering pennies for the Parkinson Alliance ÒPennies for ParkinsonÕsÓ project.

            Betty H. Mudge, a resident of Betsy Ross Health and Rehabilitation Center in Rome, passed away at Rome Memorial Hospital on October 24, 2004 after a long illness. She and her husband, Baden, were charter members of CNYPSG and always played an active role in the activities of our group. Betty and Baden were recipients of the Walter H. Dickson awards in 1999 in recognition of their service to the group. She also enjoyed an active membership in the Westmoreland Methodist Church.

            Shirley G. Newman, Ilion, died at Faxton-St. LukeÕs Healthcare in New Hartford on December 18, 2004. A long time member of CNYPSG, Shirley attended CNYPSG meetings until failing health prevented it. She was an antique dealer and member of the Ilion Little Theater Club.

            Jane Pawloski, formerly of North Utica, passed away at St. LukeÕs Home on December 23, 2004. Jane was a long-time member of CNYPSG and always enjoyed taking part in the group activities.

             Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of the families and friends of these members of our group.
