POETRY CORNER

Quiet Guy

HeÕs a sort of Humpty Dumpty,

            A quiet little guy.

If you look closely,

YouÕll see a sparkle in his eye.

HeÕs in an old body

            With a young active mind.

Turn around quickly;

            YouÕll find him walking behind.

Because of P.D. he moves sort of slow.

            HeÕs concerned for all people

Who suffer discomfort and pain

From chronic conditions affecting the brain.

HeÕd like to be remembered by those who care

As a person searching for fresh ocean air,

Able to handle his P.D. day by day

And let doses of humor wash it away.                                           Ed McCaffrey

Curses!  ItÕs Spring

     I'm dyskinesia dancing,

All my days are filled that way,

And in the night at my computer

             games I sit and play.

My thoughts come out in poetry

             and everything must rhyme.

My sleeping comes in cat naps

on the couch when I find time.

I cannot seem to stop myself

            from putting things in verse.

   My mind is mushy applesauce,

           I blame the springtime curse!
