Washington DC, told of PANs efforts to come up with federal legislation which is Parkinson friendly, while Linda Herman spoke about ÒCurrent Bills in the NYS LegislatureÓ and the effect they could have on the future of PD.  Our final speaker of the day was Tony Joseph, administrator of the Presbyterian Home in New Hartford which offers a ParkinsonÕs wing which is the first and only one in the nation in a nursing home setting.

Thanks to three sizable grants, one from TEVA Pharmaceuticals, one from Medtronic and one from GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals we were able to present this program, including lunch, with no charge to participants.

Also the day would not have been possible without the unending efforts of Nancy McCaffrey.  She was a one-woman dynamo in getting things done.  ItÕs been said if you want something done, and done right, ask a busy person.  In the case of CNYPSG, that means ask Nancy!
